FiiO M11S portable music player
Our verdict: A dedicated music-player option for listeners who want several wired headphone connections and a separate device for their audio library.
Trade-off: FiiO specifies Android 10; confirm present-day support for any streaming app you depend on before choosing it.
FiiO M11S portable music player Review
Consider the M11S if keeping music off your phone and using wired headphones are deliberate choices.
Specifications and features
| Audio conversion | Two ES9038Q2M DAC chips |
|---|---|
| Headphone connections | 2.5mm, 3.5mm and 4.4mm outputs |
| Screen | 5-inch, 1280 by 720 touchscreen |
| System | Snapdragon 660 processor and Android 10 |
The M11S is easier to justify when you can name the headphones and files it will serve. Buying a separate player simply to reproduce your phone's routine is a less compelling use case. We have not measured its output power or listened to it; the connector and platform specifications underpin this verdict.
Pros and cons
Reasons to consider it
- Several headphone sockets reduce the need for connector adapters.
- A dedicated player keeps the listening library separate from your phone.
Reasons to pause
- A second device adds another battery and library to manage.
- An older Android version makes current app compatibility a buying check.
Before choosing a listing
For second-hand stock, ask about battery condition and verify that the exact M11S is pictured. Check your preferred service's current requirements directly rather than relying on a seller's old list of supported apps.
